Marrocos 2012. Day 1

Oi Pessoal!

Nosso grupo de viagem esta crescendo, seja bem vindo Toninho Schauffert, será um prazer ser cumplice de Rodolfo neste aliciamento ao vicio das viagens em motocicletas!

Esta chegando a data da partida, já viajo aos Estados Unidos no dia 28 deste mês.

Nestor, eu tenho acompanhado pelo SPOT, não aguento de tanta inveja, no próximo ano, quero fazer toda África!

Pessoal, hoje posamos em Marrakech. O Marrocos é muito bonito, muitas montanhas,lembra muito a nossa cordilheira.

Areia, sempre imprevisível, em qualquer lugar deste mundo... Isto lembra um "apurão" que Flavi e eu tivemos em nossa viagem pelo litoral catarinense, enquanto andávamos pelas areias da praia do Farol de Santa Marta "lugar maravilhoso"...

GCFC El Niño Perdido, foste andar de moto ou de camelo?



Acho melhor combinar os dois porque não é todos os dias que temos uma oportunidade como essa de darmos uma volta de camelo nem de pilotarmos por estradas africanas.

Hoje foi um dia de....digamos....grandes visões pois durante o caminho, entre Azemmour e Marrakesh, os nossos viajantes puderam ver algo inusitado; uma árvore de cabras e para não perder a prova, segue a foto.



Incrível não?



O GCFC Roger, sua filha Andressa, o FC Nestor e a Mabel mais o GCFC El Niño Perdido chegaram de volta à costa Atlântica, em Azemmour, vindos de Marrakesh, depois de experiências incríveis pelos desertos do Marrocos.



Continuamos afirmando que mais importante do que o lugar para onde vamos ou o veículo que utilizamos, é a companhia, quem faz a diferença.



Viajar numa turma como esta que está no Marrocos, sem dúvida nenhuma, é que faz a diferença.

Boa viagem e que continuem desfrutando cada grão de areia deste norte da África.



A expectativa é de estarem em Casablanca neste sábado e quem sabe...se procurarem bem no fundo dos seus corações poderão ver Humphrey Bogart e Ingmar Bergman, no Rick's Cafe, e bem quietinhos poderão escutar "As time goes by.

É o máximo e privilégio somente para alguns Fazedores de Chuva!

Que viagem maravilhosa, parabéns... Mas cá entre nós estou sentindo falta dos relatos do G.C.F.C Elton, por melhores que sejam os do também G.C.F.C, Dolor. De qualquer forma obrigado Cacique por manter seus índios informados ainda mais com tão belas imagens.

A arvore realmente é muito estranha, mas por incrível que pareça prefiro estes animaizinhos pesando que são pássaros do que se aventurando pelas nossas rodovias, algo que é muito, muito comum nas rodovias pelo nordeste, onde muitas vezes não temos 500 m de trecho seguro sem um grupinho metido como este da foto abaixo cruzar nossa frente...

Com a viagem se aproximando do seu final, a preocupação agora é chegar ao continente europeu, aproveitando estes últimos contatos com a costa Marroquina, que encantou a todos.



Como a contagem regressiva está acionada, não foi possível aproveitar os encantos que Casablanca proporciona, nem de tentar procurar no ar, o clima de As time goes by, música tema do filme Casablanca, que emprestou o nome da cidade, para desenrolar todo o drama pessoal entre os personagens, Rick Blaine e Ilsa Lund, cujos interpretes foram respectivamente os inesquecíveis Humphrey Bogart e Ingrid Bergman.



Quem sabe numa outra oportunidade!



Foram até agora excelentes mais de três milheiros de quilômetros de excelente relacionamento e convivência que deverão ser repetidos em outras oportunidades, até porque em time que está ganhando não se mexe.

O Alcebiades, ou simplesmente Bida, como é conhecido por nós é uma figura extra, grande viajante e boa companhia, juntamente com sua esposa Maristela!

Tenho recebido as fotos de Elton e de Bida, meu marcador de inveja gostosa esta sempre com o ponteiro no vermelho!

Nossos heróis já deixaram o continente africano e de novo, colocam os pés, quer dizer, as rodas das suas motos em território europeu, depois de pouco mais de uma semana experimentando novos desafios e prazeres.



Tudo tem transcorrido bem, o ambiente é cordial e a saudade...da estrada, claro, já começa a deixar os corações saudosos dos dias em cima da moto num ambiente tão árido, quanto este do Marrocos.



Como a hora de retornar vai se aproximando, o destino é devolver as motos e preparar a "trouxa" porque a toca os espera.



Sem dúvida, cruzar o Estreito de Gibraltar, das nossas salas de aula, é um prazer renovado que enche a todos com uma alegria bem particular.



Mais alguns quilômetros Lisboa aparece como o destino final.

Uma viagem fantástica simplesmente despertou a curiosidade de todos, senti falta de alguns relatos e não pude deixar de acessar o site mencionado na postagem anterior, achei interessante o quanto fomos deixados de lado, mas tudo bem, haverá novas oportunidades, eis a declaração de um verdadeiro ciumento...

Marrocos 2012 day 2 – London to Lisbon

Marrocos 2012 day 2 - London to Lisbon
Good morning London!! It's 7:15 at Heathrow Airport near London.

After a good night of sleep we woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic ocean near the coast of France. Good break fast and we try to get a plain to Lisbon before our time.
We dink around for about 2 hours visiting the huge shop that is inside terminal 3, exchanged some Pounds for Brazilian Real (50 pounds were 200 real) and then went to the British Airlines lounge for a nice shower and relax time.
We spend time at the lounge to answer emails, update the blog and forum, check hotel for this next two nights and eat. Then I went for a stroll at the airport terminal 3 mall. Its a very large one with many good brands store. The prices are acordly to the location plus something. When a was doing the exchange rate to U$ I star to cry and then when I did for the Real I had to laugh.
About 2pm our flyght start calling we went down to the bus and board. Heathrow is a very large airport. We taxing for about 20 minutes, no stopping, moving all the time at the ground speed, until we could get to the head of the strip.
English talk funny. They have some words that I could not understood at all like water, muffin, line, and other. Rogerio and I had some hard time to guessing what they were saying, but they are very courteous, polite and amiably.

The immigration was super easy. We pass in less then 1 minute. Our luggage came up in 5 minutes at the claim, and Andressa was waiting for us at the exit. Whuau... Perfect start.
Of course we went to the Moto Xploreres to see the bikes


The hotel was great, right in the new downtown Lisbon

The taxis over there most are Mercedes and many have more then one million kilometers on the clock.

The hotel was next the main Lisbon Metro terminal.

At night we went for a Bacalhau Portugues and then some sightseeing in Lisbon

Getting to know the city.
We woke early in the morning, about 10am. Yes… I overslept. Andressa called me telling that the breakfast would be gone in 10 minutes.
We went shopping after that, I found couple items I need, and about 2:30 we went for a city tour until 6.
After that we went to the shop to get the bikes, met Nestor and Mabel there, dink around there for almost two ours and finally I was able to ride it. Such a great BMW R1200GS with only 7000 kilometers in it. I will breaking down this engine….
We had dinner all five os us, at Casa do Bacalhau, and went to the hotel. It’s almost one AM now… Going to sleep.
Tomorrow we start early…
I hope this is not the BMW I will be driving to Marrocos…

Getting to know the city.

Marrocos 2012 day 4 de Maio: etapa Lisboa-Tanger

It’s about 650 kilometers from Lisbon to Tangier.
We got the bikes the evening before and had time to pack it and put the Fazedores de Chuva sticker. After all we need to identify the bikes…

Next morning we were a bit late at the Moto Xploreres and had to leave by our selfs.
Carlos was there waiting for us and setup the GPS, so we had no problems finding the route. He had to wait for one more rider that was even later.

We did the whole trip under rain and couple hours under heavy rain. Only the last couple hours were better.

Before the trip I stick the “Fazedores de Chuva” sticker to Rogerio and to my bike. And it worked… “rain makers”.
It was a toll road for about of 140 miles and cost us a little less then 10 euros plus a mistake on one turn that cost 4 more euros.
We stop in a rainy city for lunch. The food was great. Beringela and croquette.

My pants got wet. From outside, not from inside… And I was cold from the waist down.
By night it was almost dry but we use the heater to help it dry at the restaurant

After lunch, when the rain stopped, we depart just the get more rain few minutes down the road.

By the end of the day we arrived at Tarifa, Spain, in time to get the last ferry

The crossing was good and relatively calm. The bikes were tied down by the ferry staff in just a few minutes. 60 euros to cross bike and rider.

Powerful jet engines take us to Tanger in just 45 minutes

Then we spend about one hour to do the boarder crossing. the Moto Xplorers crew did all the job. We just sat on our bikes and wait.

Tanger, or Tenga, Tinga or even Titga is an old fenician city founded by Cartages colognes back in secule V a.C. It’s the second major industrial center in Marrocos right after Casa Blanca. Tourism is strong there as well.


The hotel at night was great. Good food. Good company.
